Aspen Sister Cities and the Aspen School District jointly sponsor an annual student exchange for 8th grade students from Aspen Middle School, Aspen Country Day School and Aspen Community School. Each spring, 7th grade students from all three schools have the opportunity to apply for two-week exchange programs to Bariloche (Argentina), Chamonix (France) or Shimukappu (Japan). If chosen, students then spend two weeks in the country of their choice and then host students from the respective country here in Aspen during their 8th grade year. Slideshows Announcements Future Participants Students for the 2011-2012 school year have already been chosen. Current 7th grade students, and their parents, who want to learn about the program for the next school year (2012-2013) will be given a presentation in early March 2012. Students from all three Aspen area schools qualify for the exchange program.
